Expecting saviors meant no funny business. Alpha didn't tolerate funny business anyway. Not in her species. There was only one exception, and that was to a failed experiment.
As she traveled through the underbrush, her tiny, shy partner followed close behind. Little Beta knew where they were going, and he was afraid. These people they were meeting, Alpha would kill at any chance she got. These people were former scientists in the Project that worked on the final trio. Or, final, up until now. Alpha could just cross her fingers and hope, just hope, they could pull it off. A deal had been struck just a few days ago. There was no way she'd let this go downhill. Most of them were dead. Dead! The Zetas? It was incredibly unbelieveable, but true! She should have never allowed it. Her circuit pattern flashed in anger. Why couldn't they have at least tried to make them immortal?

What was she thinking? They were too stupid to come up with that. They got too wrapped up in torturing her and her brother to ever come up with such. How she strived to murder every last Zeta scientist on the face of the darn planet. But she couldn't. Trying such would get her into a bit of trouble. She killed most of them, but more than half of them were after she gathered all but one of the group. And that one missing piece causing its damage on the group. Darn Xeo couldn't find his way into the bubbles. So she chose to ignore her cousin's absence, no matter how much his brothers complained about an empty feeling in themselves.. because she felt it as well. All of them did, but she chose to hide such emotions to keep order amongst the group.

They finally reached the wrecked building. Little noise came from it, but there was a sense of a presence. Multiple. It was a hideaway of three unfortunate souls, who weren't really unfortunate, when she thought of it. It was either their lives now or her lack of pity. Probably her lack of pity.
She knocked on the door, only to be nearly shoved aside by a large feline who seemed to be half-asleep. He opened his eyes fully, rubbed them and jumped back a bit startled. "Alpha! I thought you were coming at a later time! What do'ya need?" he said with the ever familiar British accent Alpha had known for a while now.
"Maxwell, get into shape. You know what I'm here for." she said. "Alph, you know I'm not as young as I was back then. I'm a mess now, all three of us are." the dark tan feline said. "I know, I fully understand. But I'm still coming here because I know you guys have barely anything to do but keep yourselves alive. Which is exactly all we have to do, but most of us are dead and that's our exception. But you guys manage and we need someone to create the Golden Duo for us." Alpha said back. "Just go inside." Maxwell said. "I get the deal."

Stepping inside, you noticed many things. Most damage was dealt on the outside, the inside was fairly nice, well kept. There were plenty of materials for the three inhabitants of the little place. It didn't appear to be a place that secretly kept a lab in the basement. Sure, a tiny and non-fully equipped lab, but still a lab.
A pure white dog slept on a little bed, Alpha recongizing her as Gaia, one of the three here. She had recently been told she was acting strange, as if she were sick. Gaia herself apparently hadn't talked it what the other of the three, Shadow, had said was weeks.
Speaking of Shadow, there was a loud bang and a very frustrated noise. "Max, the camera broke again!" someone yelled, and putting the person to the voice was simple. Gaia stirred slightly.

"Shadow, Alpha's here. I'll fix it later."
"She's already here?!"
"Girl travels fast, what can I say?"

Shadow came from another room. She was just as she had met him last time, a monochromatic version of his past self, except for heterochromatic eyes, then a limp in his leg from some crazy accident in which a nearby building that 'tended' to blow up did blow up. The grayness of his fur and the limp happened at the same time, which Alpha had heard was rare to become monochromatic like that in an accident. She heard the term this world used to describe it was 'colordrainess', which scared her a tad, because most of the Zetas were black with bright, vibrant markings.

"Hey, it's you again." he said. After looking through the effects of his condition, she was quite surprised he could still speak. It normally came with muteness, and the man was as loud and joyful as ever. "You're here about the Duo? Come on, I've been working on them."

Time passed and right before she and Beta left, she stopped and glanced back at them.
"Is it okay to ask you why you guys are still here?"
I've been inactive. Take these odd children.
